ASIC has released RG 280, which will assist trustees in preparing for the first round of sustainability disclosures in June 2027. Continuing its focus on transparency, two new dashboards will uplift the visibility of fund IDR and RS management. ACMA is consulting on a new sender ID Register – which will encumber scammers who fraudulently impersonate service providers. Amendments to the Victorian Crimes Act will clarify the law’s application to trustee commissions and other similar payments. The Federal Court has found that platforms facilitating fixed yield digital asset investments are not necessarily financial products.
