The Government has passed its payday super laws and introduced a bill to reform superannuation product advertising and enhance member choice during employee onboarding processes. A Private Member’s Bill was also introduced apropos expanding downsizer contribution eligibility. 

ASIC has released its
enforcement priorities, with a clear focus on member service failures and claims handling – strongly correlated with the findings of AFCA’s Systemic Issues Insights Report. ASIC also issued two infringement notices related to false and misleading representations in advertising.

APRA’s
RIC Pulse Check urges uplift in use of member data, digital capabilities, and the provision of retirement information and advice.
